Moving On Parade

15th July 2013

On Friday 12th July, year 6 children from across the town, joined together to mark their transition from primary to secondary school with a parade through Lewes. This year's theme was 'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside'.

PATINA (Parents and Teachers in the Arts) provided each school with an artist to make their costumes from willow sticks and tissue paper, our costumes were based on a Carribean Island - see the photos in our gallery section. The weather was glorious and hundreds of people lined the streets of Lewes to wish the children well.

After the parade, the children listened to some bands from Priory School and then had a free swim at Pells pool.
